Overview

Aspark was founded in October 2005 by Masanori Yoshida. The company now has more than 25 offices worldwide (in Japan, Indonesia, Thailand and Switzerland) with more than 3,300 employees. Its global turnover surpasses 160 million USD (May 2019).

Lines of business: engineering and car manufacturing

Aspark is nowadays one of the Asian leading companies in the provision of engineering services for the automotive industry, as well as for electronic and industrial sectors. More over, with the launch of the full-electric hypercar project Aspark has become a car manufacturer with its development center based in Japan and the Owl development and production center based in Turin, Italy, in the facility of its local collaborator. Lines of business include consulting services, program development and software services, medical services.

2005

In October Aspark was established in Osaka as provider of engineering service on automotive, electricity, electronic design, development sector.

2006

Aspark accelerates the business on chemical and software development and creates a medical department. In July opens its second office in Tokyo.

2007

Aspark opens Technology Development Center.

2009

Beginning of new business on robot sector

2011

System Integration Department opens and launches services such as system operation, website operation and optimization of advertisement. At the end of the year Aspark opens its new legal subsidiary Pharmate Co., Ltd in Osaka.

2012-2013

New offices open in Nagoyo, Fukuoka, Hamamatsu, Utsunomiya, Hiroshima, all in Japan.

2014

Transfer of the business to an holding system and establishment of Aspark HD Co., Ltd. Aspark starts the electric hypercar development with an in-house test mule using its engineering capabilities and know-how.

2015

Opening of new offices in Himeji, Omiya, and Kanazawa, all in Japan. Opening of a legal subsidiary of Aspark HD in Bangkok, Thailand, the first presence outside Japan. Opening of the R&D development center in Tochigi Prefecture and acceleration of the development of Aspark Owl EV hypercar in partnership with Ikeya Formula Co., Ltd.

2016

Opening of new offices in Sendai, Matsumoto, and Takasaki, all in Japan.

2017

In September Aspark unveils the concept version of its EV hypercar proiect called Owl at the Frankfurt International Motor Show. Opening of new offices in Nigata, Okayama, and Kumamoto, all in Japan.

2018

On February 8 Aspark finishes the first part of physical acceleration tests with a great success in front of media: from 0 to 100 kph in 1.89 seconds. Opening of new offices in Nagano, Kobe, Tsukuba, North Kyushu, Matsuyama, Takamatsu, all in Japan. In December Aspark announces its partnership with MAT for the final stage of Owl development and production in Turin, Italy.

2019

Announcement of exhibition at Dubai International Motor Show 2019 with the production version of the Owl. Opening of Aspark new legal subsidiary in Zurich, Switzerland, Aspark Promotion AG.
