New Aspark OWL SP600 Becomes World’s Fastest Electric Hypercar by Hitting 438.73 kph

The OWL SP600, with a top speed of 438.7 kph achieved at Automotive Testing Papenburg, is officially the fastest electric hypercar in the world. A result driven by the vision of Aspark CEO, Masanori Yoshida, by the technical partnerships with Manifattura Automobili Torino. and Bridgestone, and by a team of passionate and dedicated professional.

On the 8th of June, during the second attempt, this new EV hypercar hit a top speed of 437.8 kph.

In order to break the top speed world record for an electric hypercar, the SP600 has been going through a full set of virtual and physical tests, including a specific campaign of wind tunnel validation activities and several sessions of track testing, and developed a bespoke Potenza Race tyres for the SP600 by Bridgestone.

Aspark company is not new to setting world speed records as it set new records for the Aspark OWL on 24 May 2023 in the UK.

Speaking about this, Aspark CEO Masanori Yoshida said: “It has been about 10 years since we started working on the OWL Hypercar. We aimed for the world’s fastest accelerating car, then attempted and achieved the top speed world records today with our new hypercar OWL SP600. This technical capability inspires all involved to personal excellence and to challenge and grow in leaps and bounds into the future.”
