Aspark OWL Roadster – World Premiere at the Salon Automobile de Lyon 2025
2025.10.15
Lyon, France — September 2025
Japanese electric hypercar manufacturer Aspark Co., Ltd. proudly unveiled the long-awaited Aspark OWL Roadster to the world for the very first time at the Prestige Salon Automobile de Lyon 2025.
A New Symbol of Evolution
The Aspark OWL project, initiated in Japan in 2014, marked a bold vision to redefine what an electric hypercar could be. Following the debut of its concept model in 2017, Aspark shifted production to Italy in 2019 and introduced the first-generation OWL to the world.
Since then, Aspark has continuously pushed the limits of electric performance. In 2024, the OWL SP600 achieved a world-record top speed of 438.7 km/h, claiming the title of the world’s fastest electric hypercar.
Now, in September 2025, Aspark has taken the next evolutionary step with the unveiling of the Aspark OWL Roadster—an open-top masterpiece that merges the iconic form of the OWL with the pure exhilaration of open-air driving. The result is a harmonious blend of artistry, cutting-edge technology, and emotional performance that captivated audiences in Lyon.
Japanese Craftsmanship and Distinctive Design Philosophy
Every OWL Roadster is a testament to Japanese craftsmanship and meticulous precision. From material selection to assembly and final finishing, each car is hand-built and polished by master artisans to achieve perfection in every detail.
The exterior design was personally overseen by Masanori Yoshida, founder and CEO of Aspark. The design embodies the spirit of the “OWL” — a symbol of silent precision and fierce power. Like an owl preparing to strike, the car radiates both serenity and intensity, blending stillness with explosive performance.
This fusion of “Silence and Motion” results in a design language that sets the OWL Roadster apart from any other hypercar. With a global production limited to only 20 units, the OWL Roadster stands as a one-of-a-kind creation from Japan, uniting design, technology, and craftsmanship into a singular work of automotive art.

Significance of the Lyon Debut
At the Salon Automobile de Lyon, the Aspark exhibit drew significant attention from enthusiasts, collectors, and industry experts worldwide. For the first time ever, three Aspark OWL models were showcased together on a single stage — the road-legal OWL, the record-breaking SP600 prototype, and the newly unveiled OWL Roadster.
This lineup represented the past, present, and future of the brand, illustrating Aspark’s continuous pursuit of innovation and excellence.
Beyond its symbolic debut, the OWL Roadster also marks Aspark’s global expansion, with bespoke production and sales networks now extending across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. The Lyon unveiling was not merely a product launch — it was a defining statement of Japan’s emerging dominance in the world of ultra-performance electric vehicles.
