ASPARK EV Hypercar Owl SP600 breaks GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title

Today, we are thrilled to announce that the Aspark Owl SP600 has been officially recognized by Guinness World Records as ‘the fastest battery-powered electric prototype hypercar in the world’ on October 31, 2024.
It reached an incredible top speed of 438.7 km/h (273 mph) during the second speed attempt at Automotive Testing Papenburg (ATP).

This speed record was validated following extensive testing and market research conducted by global market research IPSOS, and a high-standard review by Guinness World Records adjudicators. On June 8th 2024, this attempt was conducted by Aspark, supported by the skilled handling of professional driver Marc Basseng and passionate partners.

This accomplishment not only sets a new benchmark in the electric hypercar category but also underscores Aspark’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of electric vehicle performance. The Owl SP600 now joins the ranks of record-breaking hypercars, representing a significant milestone in automotive engineering and the future of high-performance electric vehicle.

Key Milestones in Aspark’s Journey:

2014 – 2015: Aspark took a significant leap by initiating the development of its forst all-electric hypercar, the Aspark Owl. This project marked the company’s entry into the global hypercar market.

May 2023: The Owl Hypercar set new world records in the UK, adding to its reputation as a pioneering electric hypercar and firmly establishing Aspark as a record-holder in this competitive space.

June 2024: Aspark unveiled its OWL SP600 Hypercar prototype, intended as a production car, which set a new Guinness World Record for the fastest speed by an electric prototype hypercar, verified on October 31, 2024. Setting a new global standard in electric vehicle performance.

New Aspark OWL SP600 Becomes World’s Fastest Electric Hypercar by Hitting 438.73 kph

The OWL SP600, with a top speed of 438.7 kph achieved at Automotive Testing Papenburg, is officially the fastest electric hypercar in the world. A result driven by the vision of Aspark CEO, Masanori Yoshida, by the technical partnerships with Manifattura Automobili Torino. and Bridgestone, and by a team of passionate and dedicated professional.

On the 8th of June, during the second attempt, this new EV hypercar hit a top speed of 437.8 kph.

In order to break the top speed world record for an electric hypercar, the SP600 has been going through a full set of virtual and physical tests, including a specific campaign of wind tunnel validation activities and several sessions of track testing, and developed a bespoke Potenza Race tyres for the SP600 by Bridgestone.

Aspark company is not new to setting world speed records as it set new records for the Aspark OWL on 24 May 2023 in the UK.

Speaking about this, Aspark CEO Masanori Yoshida said: “It has been about 10 years since we started working on the OWL Hypercar. We aimed for the world’s fastest accelerating car, then attempted and achieved the top speed world records today with our new hypercar OWL SP600. ASPARK OWL #001 Debuts on Suzuka Circuit, the Origin of the Japanese Mobility Culture

Working closely with Honda Mobilityland Corporation, Aspark Owl Head Office in Japan took part in an event for fans and media and the Aspark Owl hypercar with serial number #001 showed the circuit drives on Suzuka International Racing Course, the legendary Japanese race track where the world’s top racers in Formula One.

The Aspark Owl, an all-electric battery-powered hypercar is the fastest-accelerating production car in the world -it reaches 0-60mph in only 1.72 seconds. Last year, under the watchful eye of the UK Timing Association, the Aspark Owl was certified by two official titles of world records for the Fastest Average Speed over both 1/8 and 1/4 mile for an electric car, that it currently holds.

The Aspark Owl #001 has an exterior finish featuring its carbon elements in Dark Blue, and an interior sees Salmon Pink leather accents across the seat, complemented by Navy Blue stitching. For prospects, fans and media based in Asia, it will be stored in Osaka Garage for a limited time.

One of the world’s most expensive electric hypercars, the Aspark Owl comes home to Japan where it is conceived

One of the world’s most expensive and stunning electric hypercars, the Aspark Owl, has come home to Japan where it was conceived. It will offer the first opportunity for potential Japanese and Asian buyers to see the cars advance technology and it is beautiful design lines. The Owl will be located at showroom in Osaka, Japan, one of the main commercial centers of Osaka.

In relation to the Owl coming to Japan, Aspark CEO Masanori Yoshida said, “we are very proud that the Owl is finally arriving in Japan, and we allow the Japanese and customers in Asia to drive this beautiful and powerful electric hyper-car”.

Stunning & powerful Aspark Owl electric hyper car goes on the road in Monaco & attended Top Marques

One of the world’s most expensive and stunning looking electric cars, the Aspark Owl, was be taken on a road drive in Monaco on 6 June 2023. This was to further demonstrate the power of it’s advance technology and it’s beautiful design lines. It was at the Principality to attend the Top Marques, said to be “the world’s most exclusive car show”.

These activities follow the cars success at setting two world records late last month in the UK.
The Monaco event will also be an opportunity to announce its first European dealer. In addition one of the Owl’s will arrive in Japan, the home of the Aspark company, very soon.  
Speaking about that the Aspark CEO Masanori Yoshida said “We are looking forward to delivery the car to Japan”.

Electric Hypercar Sets Two New Guinness World Records™ Titles

Two New Guinness World Records Titles Have Been Broken.

The stunning looking Owl hypercar was put through its paces in England testing its speed and acceleration.  The all-electric battery-powered hyper car is manufactured by Japanese engineering firm Aspark.  Underneath the beautiful design lines is the most advanced electric car technology available.  As a result the power its motors generate deliver unbelievable acceleration and speed.

The Aspark Owl set two new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS titles and they are:

  • Fastest average speed over eighth mile by an electric car

  • Fastest average speed over quarter mile by an electric car

The Aspark Owl hypercar can accelerate from 0-60mph in 1.72 seconds it has a top speed( km/h, 260 mph (413km/h) and a range of 250 miles (400km) approximately.   It takes about 40 minutes to charge using a fast charging station with 200kW 800V. Aspark plans a production run of 50 vehicles built to order and supplied within approximately 12 months at a price of €2.9 million each.

Speaking about the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS titles Aspark CEO Masanori Yoshida said “It is a delight to set  two new  GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS titles.  We wanted to show that the Owl is not only a beautiful looking machine but it can demonstrate high amazing acceleration and speed delivered by its powerful motors.”
